Mr. + Mrs. Lyman | Roses are Red....

I had a grand time photographing Marvin and Zyphra's wedding on March 17. I've known Marvin for several years but more importantly, I believe everyone in Kansas City, MO grew up on his father's barbecue - "Papa Lews", located near 17th and Paseo Blvd. Myself and many neighborhood kids used to strung up a $1 to buy a bag of fries and be in hog heaven. It was a brown bag of fat french fries! Yum! Now I'm dating myself because this was back in the early 80s. Needless, Marvin and his parents have strong roots here in KCMO. Marvin and Zyphra were so excited to be married on that day (St. Patrick's Day); no green for them - just "red". I was happy to be their photographer.

Kudos to the vendors:

Taylor | Kansas University Graduate | Class of 2018

Taylor is graduating this year from Kansas University and I think I'm in awe. Mainly because four years ago I took her high school senior pictures. WOW! I can't believe it's been four years. Her mother and I went to college together at ESU so either I'm getting old or she is getting younger. LOL. She hasn't changed in looks - still gorgeous. She has a bright future ahead of her - she plans to pursue her graduate studies soon after her undergrad. I'm very proud of her and her endeavors. Congratulations Taylor!

Public Service Announcement | Something's New at Royal Photography

The last 27-years have afforded me great opportunities in meeting new people, creating new business partnerships, being welcomed in many homes and taken great pride in branding my business. Royal Photography started in the photojournalism area and portraiture, then branched off into wedding photography, special events and professional sports (football, basketball and soccer). All these opportunities have given me great joy and definitely humbled me in knowing that God continues to bless me.

Like any business, you find time to make some administrative changes. Today, I want to announce that Royal Photography, LLC has a new logo, a new style of photography and a new vision. A big "thank you" to RICH DESIGNS for creating my new logo.

Photography is my gift and my passion. It's my intention to allow God to continue to use me in every way - allowing me to be a blessing to the lives I touch.

Thank you for believing in me and trusting me to be your family and professional photographer. My dreams are limitless! ◦
