We took time to take a few outdoor photos - nothing special - but something that will document the history that is in store for them. I might add they wouldn't share with me the name or sex of the baby so I guess we are all in suspense.

This is my latest outdoor maternity session that was taken at Unity Village. I was honored that the parents called upon me again to document this new event in their lives. I've photographed their daughter's senior photo session last year - who is now a college freshmen. This maternity session was a little different for me because I wanted to try a "woodsy" look rather the typical / standard maternity photos. I personally like how they turned out.

Baby 'Layla' Graces Mommy and Daddy's Prayers | Precious Baby

Last year during the month of May, I photographed Geoffrey and Mallory's wedding here in Kansas City. A week ago, both celebrated the birth of their first child - Layla. I absolutely love the name!! This was one of my lifestyle family sessions. I have two children and I have learned that there are no books that can prepare you for raising children - it's all parental instincts. Enjoy the precious moments and learn to compromise on the feeding and early morning feedings...LOL
