Vakya + Patrick | Lavish Wedding at Adams Pointe Conference Center

Photographing couples who absolutely adore each other and who are extremely excited about their wedding day happens to be the most energetic emotion that I feel when photographing weddings. Patrick and Vakya didn't disappointment that feeling. As a matter of fact, I believe the entire wedding party was enthusiastic. Both the bride and groom are from southern states - Memphis and Arkansas - both have strong accents. Their accents took me back to my extended roots of Alabama and Mississippi. I teased them about their southern "twang". LOL. They told me that we, here in the midwest, have a accent too. I laughed and asked how so? They say we sound "proper". LMBO... I also have to compliment the guys on their sock and shoe game - on point!!!! They were rocking those blue suits.

I had the pleasure of traveling to Omaha, NE to photograph Meredith and Cynthia's wedding a couple of weeks back. Although I have never visited the city before, overall, it's really a nice town with a lot of rich heritage. I even got to see some old KC friends from back in the day.

Sal + Natoya | A Beautiful Wedding Uniting Two Charismatic Souls

Congratulations to Sal and Natoya on saying "I DO" last week at the Friendship Baptist Church; the reception was held at the 28 Event Space. Natoya was a dashing bride who kept a smile on her face all day long. Sal...well he's that suave looking groom who demands respect when in his presence. I didn't meet the groom until the day of the wedding but from what he told me that day was that he and Natoya are very simple people who love to do simple things - such as bike riding or just walks. Well, what can you say after that? I'm sure those are the characteristics that will keep you close and not sweating the trivial things. 

We had a BLAST photographing you all as well as the wedding party. You can't help but get excited when you have an energetic wedding party who lets me be "me". I especially love it when my clients "love me and my work". Those emotions allow me to be creative.
