Preston Holmes | Hollywood Producer and Kanas City, KS Native

I had the distinct pleasure of capturing a headshot of Kansas City, KS native, Preston Holmes and several photos of his immediate and extended family (thanks to Michael J Miller) over the Christmas holiday. Preston is known for producing infamous movies such as: Malcolm X, Hustle & Flow, New Jack City, Birth of a Nation, The Best Man Holiday, Waist Deep, How to be a Player, Something New and many many more.

Edwin | Professional Business Portraits by Royal Photography

This distinguished young man resides and lives here in Kansas City. He contacted me to photograph him as he needed some LinkedIn photos and professional headshots that he could use for his business portfolio. We had a great time in the studio. He and I have mutual friends as well as I have done some special event photography for he and his family. I might also add that he is a dedicated member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

Williams Family is Expecting One More | Maternity Photo Session

The Williams family is expecting one more "new beginning" to their awesome family really soon. We took time to take a few outdoor photos - nothing special - but something that will document the history that is in store for them. I might add they wouldn't share with me the name or sex of the baby so I guess we are all in suspense.

Jalexis | Senior Portrait Session by Royal Photography

Here are a couple of snippets from Jalexis senior photo session. She has captivating eyes and a very sweet personality. Her senior photo session had to be broken up into two parts due to unexpected rain at the first session. What I did find out is that Jalexis use to do a little modeling in her younger years. Her college choice is still undecided.

Bishop and Pastor Vaughn | Portrait Session by Royal Photography

Bishop Jack Vaughn and Pastor Carolyn Vaughn provide pastoral leadership to the members of Evangelistic Center aka Bishop Jack Vaughn Ministries in Kansas City, Kansas. I was called upon to take some care free photos - outside of the studio. I know both of these remarkable people through other associates and or by way of their children. I've even photographed several weddings at their church over the years. After this opportunity, I have learned that Bishop has a care free personality and Pastor Vaughn looks like she is the one who keeps in line. LOL.

Side note: I know this is just me but Bishop favors famous baseball player Frank White :)

Dr. Wilma Bachus Celebrates 75 Years of Life | Mount Zion Baptist Church

This past weekend, the first lady of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kansas, Dr. Wilma Bachus, celebrated her 75th birthday amongst her immediate family and church family. Dr. Bachus is married to Rev. Dr. C. L. Bachus. This is one of her formal photos that was on display at her Sunday dinner hosted by her church. ◦
