Latrice + William wedding teaser photos

The last few weeks have been perfect Fall weekends to have a wedding. So, in keeping with tradition, I am posting a few "teaser" photos from Latrice and William's wedding last Saturday at the Hillcrest Country Club.

The ceremony was PACKED from front to back. Family, friends, neighbors and all that wanted to come showed up at their wedding. Talk about a love poem wedding! Before reciting their vows, each spoke from their hearts about how they felt for one another. Latrice spoke with sweet caressing tones and William...oh William, gave every listening ear a chill up their spine - including me. You would have thought Luther Vandross wrote the words to a special song. Let's just say every man in the room got a lesson on how to verbally express their emotions to a lady.

That's all I'm gonna say for now. If you want to know more, ask William :)

Stay tuned for more photos.

November 1 Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show

Attention all 2009, 2010, 2011 brides!

The Kansas City Perfect Wedding Guide will be hosting their annual Bridal Fair Sunday, November 1 at the Overland Park Convention Center from 10 am - 5 pm. Come out and stop by our booth (BOOTH #5 and #6). You can't miss us. As soon as you enter into the main doors, turn to your right and you will see us there. Stop by, say hello, view our latest wedding albums and pick up some free gifts for the bride in-mind. You are in for a real treat.

If you have not decided on a true award-winning photojournalist wedding photographer, Royal Photography LLC is your primary choice. Visit our online calendar to check out our availability; there are dates still available for the coming year.

If you haven't registered yet for the show, don't fret, tickets will be sold at the door. Not only will you be mesmerized by the hundreds of other eager brides but you will get a chance to meet professional wedding vendors in all areas as well as win "PWG Bucks" immediately following the first fashion show. Six brides can win $500 each to spend with any vendor at the show. This is a win-win situation for both vendors and brides. The brides who win the "PWG Bucks" will have two-weeks from the date of the bridal show (Nov. 15th) to redeem their "PWG Bucks". The "PWG Bucks" may be split up between vendors. You could be one of those winners!

From what I've been told, there will be over 900 brides attending this show.

This will be a huge event for us because unlike the other bridal shows, we are putting everything we have into this spectacular event.

WE LOOK FORWARD IN MEETING YOU!

10th Annual AKA Emerald Ball

If you are a guy or gal and attended some sort of under-graduate college, at some point in time we thought about joining a sorority or fraternity. Awh...the joys of going to their parties and step shows. Well, Greek organizations are more than just cool parties and step shows, you really begin to build your professional network and community involvement.

After photographing a wedding Saturday, we attended the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA) / Upsilon Rho Omega Chapter's 10th Annual Emerald Ball at the Doubletree Hotel in Overland Park, KS. We were on site to photograph the all the guests who attended the gala. Various Kansas City African-American Greek organizations such as: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, and Sigma Gamma Rho were all present in their after-five attire.

Below is a a group photo of the local AKA Upsilon Rho Omega chapter.

Margaret + Joseph | October 17

I’m finally getting around to posting the second batch of photos from Margaret and Joseph’s wedding on October 17. Some of you all probably saw the “teaser” photos that I posted last week. Let’s just say they had a lot of outstanding images.

First, I must say that Liberty, MO is full of rich history. Most of the buildings in the town square either have been remodeled to preserve the town’s rich heritage and others are still standing in their original architectural structure. I could have spent hours taking pictures in the town square. Liberty actually reminds me of old-downtown Independence, MO. Don’t’ take my word for it, drive out and see for yourself.

Their wedding took place at the Second Baptist Church of Liberty, MO. This church is beautiful! It sits on a corner and demands an eye-catching experience. The bridal and bridesmaids bouquet’s raved with bright oranges, reds and yellows (perfect Fall colors). The groomsmen had me in stitches. I couldn’t stop laughing from all the jokes the guys kept telling. This was a wedding that made me want to get married all over again. Not just because of the wedding party and colors but just because the chemistry that seemed to surround Margaret and Joseph. The love they share for one another is contagious.

The reception was held at The Heritage Hall, a couple of blocks away from the church.

Thank you Margaret and Joseph for allowing us to photograph your wedding and I hope that we can be a life-long photographer in your family.

First time meeting.

Margaret + Joseph wedding teaser photos

Have you ever gone to a wedding and gotten excited and wished you were getting married all over again?

Have you ever seen two people who you knew HAD to be married?

I was one of those people who believed in my heart that Margaret and Joseph were one of those couples who had a glow about themselves. I was all giddy and was excited to be their photographer. Ideas were spilling out of my head and couldn’t wait to start taking pictures.

While the bride and groom are on their honeymoon, I’m taking the liberty of posting a few teaser photos. Heck, who knows, they may have access to the internet and just MIGHT want to check out the BLOG.

More to come...
