Lacey and Ed's wedding was my first wedding (Jan. 13) of 2008. What a wonderful wedding it was. Their wedding almost took place by candlelight - not so much - the lights were off and the only lights that remained on was the pulpit/platform lights. Which created a ambient mood. The reception took place in Blue Springs, MO.

J Moss Performs at SCLC Event
As part of the Kansas City SCLC Martin Luther King birthday celebration events, contemporary gospel entertainer J Moss performed at the Community Christian Church in this historic district of The Plaza. Hundreds of youth and young adults came out to see he and his band perform.
I hadn't heard of him or his music until Saturday night and I must say that I am compelled to support his music ministry. I was also surprised to see little kids (at least 3 - 4 years of age) involved in singing his songs as well. The photos above are snipits of the few hundred that I photographed during his performance.

Rev. Moses Brown Ordination
Some of you may know that I am a member of the Paseo Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. Well, Sunday, December 23, 2007 (yes, I know I'm late in posting this) Rev. Moses Brown, a associate minister at my church, was ordained. My pastor, Rev. Delmar White led the ordination service while several deacons and associate Pastors questioned him during the ordination service.
My gift to Rev. Brown and the church was my framed Signature 16x20 collage. The collage was included several images of his ordination ceremony. ◦

SCLC 2008 Black Achievers
First, I must give praise to God for all the blessings and doors that he has opened for me in 2008. He has been so faithful! Second, I would like to thank Rev. Nelson "Fuzzy" Thompson, Arlana Coleman and Kim Bruce.
I have been given the opportunity to be one of the official photographers for the 2008 SCLC - Kansas City Martin Luther King Celebrations. One of these opportunities allowed me to photograph all the '08 SCLC Black Achievers amongst other local events. The photos above are the honorees who will be recognized during the Black Achievers Awards dinner Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Marriott-Muelbach downtown Kansas City, MO.
The honorees above are in alphabetical order and in order of appearance: Andrea Hendricks, Bonnie Barclay, Callie Merritt, Carles Miller, Derrick Robinson, Donna Crosswhite, Jairo de Jesus, Kevin Cullen, Luevina Huskey, Marshaun Butler, Dr. Patricia Thomas, Pete Peoples, Shirley Cooper, William Johnson, and Yolonda Marlow. Congratulations to you all!

Dustin Senior Pics
Dustin is a unique individual - part X-Man and part teenager. A lover of motorcross, Dustin has a quiet disposition that one might be fooled.
I don't get many males wanting to take senior pictures so you could imagine that I was anxious to make an impression. We took his senior photos in the back acres of Unity Village in Lee's Summit.

Joselyn Senior Pics
Joselyn is a beautiful young lady who wanted her senior pictures to speak innocence but yet fashionable. We went to Union Station and opted to take all of her photos outdoors. I treated her senior session as a modeling opportunity as well. Her shy personality complimented her hidden dimples despite the chilly weather.
