Over the last few weeks I have been busy photographing events for The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) of Greater Kansas City's 2008 King Celebration. These events include the SCLC Black Achievers, several community activities and the Mass Celebration.The SCLC of Greater Kansas City (www.sclckc.org) continued the tradition and the excitement of the 2008 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in the Count Basie Ballroom at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown; with the Community Luncheon featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Charles Steele Jr., National President and CEO of SCLC. Dr. Steele spoke to approximately 500 people. Everyone who holds is instrumental in impacting lives of our children and community were present.
