The SCLC of Greater Kansas City honored two distinguished local citizens with the "President's Award" and the "Community Service Award" at their annual Community Luncheon. Karen Dace, Ph.D, Deputy Chancellor, Division of Diversity, Access & Equality at University of Missouri-Kansas City received the President's Award. Ramon Murguia, Esq., Hispanic Development Fund, Past Chair, National Council of La Raza received the "Community Service Award". The guest speaker for the luncheon was the Honorable James Young, Mayor of Philadelphia, MS.
