Portraits in the Park by Royal Photography
This season has been the busiest for me in the family portrait arena. Last week, I photographed the 'Peghee' family in a local park. They have the cutest puppy, Jazz - they say he's a puppy but in my eyes he's BIG dog. Needless, he behaved well for all the pictures; for a minute he wanted to jump after all the geese that were swimming in the pond.
A rule to all photographers, do not take your coat off on a windy day and lay it on the rocks outlining the pond. Mother nature MIGHT just want to teach you a lesson by blowing it in the water. Luckily, Donnie was able to catch it before it floated away. Thanks Donnie for the quick hands.

One Night Stand Concert Tour | Royal Photography Special
Friday nights are normally spent at home watching movies but this time I embarked on something new - I went to a concert. Thanks to my brother, David, the Missouri State Post newspaper and my new friend, Mitch...for giving me the opportunity to photograph the 'One Night Stand' concert tour at The Midland, featuring Bobby Valentino, Chrisette Michele, and Avant. Over 1200 attended the event. Let's just say my ears are still ringing. I posted a few of my favorite emotional photos. Let me know your thoughts.

Robin Thicke Visits Kansas City | Royal Photography Archive Photos
These are some oldie but goodie images of Robin Thicke's visit to Kansas City way back in 2007 at the Beaumont Club. I'll admit, I didn't know who he was until Tailese spotted him out while the VIPs were waiting out back to come in. The second photo is of my cousin, who seems to get in more places and see more folk than I do. Looks like I need to be following her around. LOL

Above: Track Olympian, Jackie Joyner-Kersee took time to take a photo with me during the 2007 St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards Dinner. Thank you Maurice Meredith for taking the photo with my camera :)
I woke up this morning with the idea of digging out of my archive several "famous" folk that I have met and photographed over the years. At the moment I was only able to pull out a few images from 2004, 2006 and 2007. I was afforded all of these images and opportunities from the Missouri State Post and Kansas State Globe newspapers. I was their official photographer and often traveled to document several special events. The majority were from various St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation weekend activities; if I recall, I photographed that event every year for 10 years.
Stay tuned, as I will be posting more images from my Archive Hall Of Fame in the coming months.
In 2007 I had the pleasure of photographing Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Debbye Turner, Miss America 1990 at the St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation Lifetime Achievement Awards dinner.
In 2007: can anyone guess who this is?

In 2006: Don King; comedian Robert Townsend; and St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation founder, Earl Wilson, Jr.

In 2004: Bishop T.D. Jakes at the Lenexa Christian Center, Lenexa, Kansas
