Nathaniel + Paris Wedding | April 30

This is a second posting, to see the first, CLICK HERE.

While the rest of the world were in awe over the wedding ceremony of Kate and William, family and friends here in Kansas City were preparing to attend their own royal wedding. Saturday, April 30, Nathaniel and Paris couldn't wait to say "I do". From what I was told, Nathaniel has been waiting on this moment for a very long time. Let's just say that he couldn't stop grinning. The wedding and reception took place at the historic luxury 4-star Hotel Phillips.

Congratulations to you both!

Tausha | Impromptu photo session

This past weekend was extremly busy for me - exhausting is a better word for it. Let me break it down for you...

  • Photographed a high school prom Friday night

  • Attended a college graduation Saturday morning

  • Photographed a couple of high school seniors Saturday afternoon just before they headed to their prom (photos to come very soon)

  • Engagement session on The Plaza, the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and Coldstone Creamery

  • Photographed a 40th Bday celebration Saturday evening (I can't post those images online but I'm sure you can understand why) LOL...

  • Took my wife and kids out for breakfast Sunday morning (Mother's Day)

  • Purchased and planted some flowers in the yard

  • Dinner with my mother and extended family

  • Back to editing more wedding photos
Yes, I was exhausted - but I'm not complaining :)

Needless to say, the reason why I'm posting this photo is because sometimes I need to step away from being glued to my monitor and find time for some studio imagery. Most importantly, I purchased a new background and this was the perfect time to schedule a studio photo session. My good friend, Tausha, needed some urgent headshots for personal/corporate reasons so Monday evening she stopped by and we knocked out a few images. Honestly, I love this background and displays beautifully on her skin tone. Now, I can't wait to use it more on future clients :)

Now back to the wedding images.

I'll be in touch... ◦

Paris + Nathaniel's Royal Wedding | Teaser Photos

All across the world, millions of people took embraced the union of Kate and William - some even flew dug deep in their wallets to fly over the waters to be apart of the royal wedding festivities.

Here in Kansas City, two people along with family and friends from all parts of the U.S. traveled by all sorts of transit to be apart of a Kansas City's own "Royal Wedding" at the historic Hotel Phillips. Ironically, the brides name is 'Paris'. The groom, Nathaniel, couldn't wait until the minister culminated their wedding with the words, "you may now kiss your bride".

I just wanted to share a couple of "teaser" photos just before I engulf myself into editing mode.

Stay tuned for more.

Courtney's Prom | Simply Gorgeous

I'm going to keep this posting very short. I won't say much or describe much. I want you to be the judge. Courtney was headed to her prom this past Saturday and her parents wanted a few photos before she headed out on the town with her friends.

All I can say is...WOW!

Kaprianie + Jackson Senior Prom

Some things in life remain constant. Saturday, a gorgeous young lady by the name of, Kaprianie, got all dolled up for her senior prom. I never knew nor met Kaprianie until she called me early last week to inquire about prom eve photos. What excited me the most was to see how excited and nervous seniors are on their prom nights. Parents, family and friends all gather around to see their loved one dressed up - some shedding tears of happiness just before the kids headed off to their prom. Most of the feelings were like moments of a wedding day. Kaprianie and her date, Jackson seemed a bit nervous at first due to all of their family and friends staring at them. Both sets of parents were thrilled to see the kids dressed like a million bucks and even provided suggestions on types of poses.

I was like...WOW!

I hope both of you had a great time.
