Douglas + Nina's Outdoor Wedding at Unity Village | Lee's Summit, MO

You know what? Weddings are 95% about the bride. Yes, guys...we make up about 5% of that special day. Don't get it twisted, family and friends come to weddings to see the bride. LOL. However, what remains constant and cannot be overlooked is the glow on a brides face on her wedding day. She is marrying the man who shares her heart, her dreams - the man who makes her complete and secure.

What I noticed about this special wedding day is the love and admiration in the eyes of Nina because she was going to marry her "rock". It was evident that with every touch and gleaming stare that she LOVED some Douglas. If nothing else, I walked away knowing that she adored him and vice versa. Their dream wedding took place outdoors on the bridge at Unity Village in Lee's Summit, MO amongst family and friends. Everything from her wedding dress (ballerina style), stylish shoes (WOW), and unique wedding bands evoked a love story that deserves to be told to millions!

Bless you both!

I have added a few or better yet, several photos that tells their wedding day love story.

Cheers!

BTW: I forgot to mention Douglas is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity and Nina is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Both love their greek organizations :)

Outdoor Bridal Sessions by Royal Photography in Kansas City

Several weeks ago, I posted a request on FB, Twitter and Instagram seeking out willing brides who would love to put their wedding dress back on and take some formal photos FREE of charge. I got a decent response - most from brides I've photographed in the past and one from a bride in Oklahoma who's wedding I didn't photograph. I felt honored that she and her husband would drive all the way up to Kansas City for a FREE photo session with me. The three brides above and below were taken over the course of two weekends. These photo sessions were not your typical bridal sessions as I wanted to do something different with each bride. Thank you Tiandre, Denise and LaTasha for your participation.

Happy Birthday President Barack Obama

Happy Birthday President Barack Obama. I believe you are celebrating 53-years of birth. Since your presidency – two terms – you have changed the lives of millions in this country. Most of which I’m sure you know you aren’t getting a pat on the back either. Please know that God put you in this position not only to make a difference but to be a witness for him. We may not get the glory for what we do but there is truth in knowing that nothing in life happens by chance. There is a purpose for us all. None of God’s plans fall on rocky soil. Many lives have been sacrificed, lost and even continue to fight for equal rights for the just. It’s evident that God has ordained you as a vessel to lead this country to prosperity. We all know that until Jesus Christ comes to rescue us from this land we call earth, our fight for justice, equality and human dignity will continue. You are only a vessel – like many before you – who were called upon to lead our country. I applaud you for all your efforts.

The above photo was taken before you took office when you came to Kansas City, MO and spoke during a Pep Rally at the Marriott-Muehlbach Hotel. I was one of many photographers who was fortunate to be in the same room with you. If I never get a chance to meet you face to face, this photo will be my hand shake to you. You and I both share the same birth month and are both left-handed individuals. LOL.  My birthday isn’t until the 10th so we are in close proximity.

Happy Birthday again and many blessings to you and your family.
