SCLC: Dr. Charles Steele Jr. Visit to KC

Over the last few weeks I have been busy photographing events for The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) of Greater Kansas City's 2008 King Celebration. These events include the SCLC Black Achievers, several community activities and the Mass Celebration.

The SCLC of Greater Kansas City (www.sclckc.org) continued the tradition and the excitement of the 2008 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in the Count Basie Ballroom at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown; with the Community Luncheon featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Charles Steele Jr., National President and CEO of SCLC. Dr. Steele spoke to approximately 500 people. Everyone who holds is instrumental in impacting lives of our children and community were present.

Kathy & Nick Wedding

Clubhouse on Baltimore is a unique wedding venue however Kathy and Nick's wedding added just a little bit more to the location.

The crimson red awning on the front of the building complimented the crimson red bridesmaids dress and bouquet of the bride. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos accented with red roses.

All of Kathy's bridesmaids and Nick's groomsmen were a hoot, I had lots of fun because they didn't mind letting their hair down (candidly speaking) to do some real fun photos despite the bitter cold weather on the last Saturday of December.

Needless to say, their wedding was a good way to cap off 2007. Congratulations Kathy and Nick! Many blessings to the next powerful attorney's in Kansas City.

Kathy + Nick Engagement

Who said two attorney's can't love each other?

I'm a lover of the television show Boston Legal (William Shatner, Candace Bergman, and James Spader); one often wonders if love stories can really happen in the law profession. Well I was proven wrong when I met Kathy and Nick. Both are local attorney's in the Kansas City area.

Just before the fall leaves dried up in Novemvber, we got an opportunity to take their engagement pictures at Kauffman Memorial Gardens. Their wedding would take place at Clubhouse on Baltimore on December 29, 2007. Stay tuned for the photos.
