Elisabeth and Keegan's wedding was a fun experience for me. Elisabeth was all about business and didn't waste anytime. I must share this story first...
When I arrived at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the parking lot was packed - as if a church service was going on or the wedding had started earlier. I was scheduled to be on the premises by 4 pm with the wedding starting at 6:30 pm. Needless to say, my heart fell to my knees because I just KNEW the wedding started without me. I rushed into the church and realized that there was another wedding going on - I WAS RELIEVED!
Just before the ceremony started, Elisabeth and the girls were in their dressing room sitting around singing Mary Poppins songs. They had me in stitches laughing so hard because they knew all the words. I might add that they didn't sound half bad either.
While dancing with her father at the reception (Holiday Inn Olathe) during the father-daughter dance, both shared a moment that no one can explain. Mom set afar wiping her tears. I'm always amazed at how emotional those moments are when a father holds his daughter tightly in his arms and dances with her as if no one is in the room. I just hope that when my daughter marries, that we both share that same moment.
Congratulations Elisabeth and Keegan!

Sam,
Thank you so much for posting the pictures on your blog. They are absolutely beautiful. The picture of my dad and me dancing together means so much to me and will always remind me of the special dance with my dad. Everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about how wonderful you were and how you made everyone feel at ease (especially my mom who hates having her picture taken). Keegan and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. We know they will be beautiful.
