John's Senior Photo Session | Truman High School's Cross Country Track Star

Meet John...Kansas City's cross country track star and debonaire gent. John is a church member of mine who has a bright future ahead of himself. He's a student at Truman High School and we opted to take most of his senior photos on the track there at the school; the remaining photos were taken downtown old Independence. Is it me or does he have a Lebron James look? Hmmm, well if you don't agree, he does to me :) These are just a few of his Class of 2015 senior photos.

Teasers: Jehanna + Andre's Wedding at Arrowhead Stadium | Chiefs Kingdom

Sunday, the day before the Kansas City Chiefs beat the New England Patriots 41-14 here at home, Andre and Jehanna celebrated their wedding nuptials at Arrowhead Stadium. Both are loyal Chiefs fans and dreamed of having their wedding at the infamous stadium. This was my first wedding at the stadium but not my first event - as I have photographed high school proms in the past. The weather was perfect. Jehanna's dress was OUTSTANDING and the wedding party was a BLAST to work with. A big thank you to Shawn for assisting me that day as well. These are just a few images to settle some curiosity - more to come.

Christopher + Erica's Wedding at First Baptist Church and Ironwoods Lodge

Let's just say this was the first wedding that I've photographed this year where it seemed like everyone in Kansas City came to witness Erica and Christopher's wedding at First Baptist Church. The reception was held at Ironswood Lodge. I've never seen a long line of guest waiting to get inside (see photo below). WOW! Erica reached out to me by way of my sister who was needing a wedding photographer for her wedding. After meeting Erica, I knew I wanted to photograph her wedding. From what I was told, both met each other while swing dancing AND they both are musicians. What I didn't know until the day of the wedding was that Erica's father was one of the fathers I photographed a couple of years ago for a special "Father and Son" photography exhibit at the Bruce R. Watkins Heritage Center. When her mother saw me come in the room, she recognized me but was pretty sure she recognized my logo way back when. I was impressed. Above and below are a few images from their wedding.

Cheers!
