Trey + Anne | July 10 Wedding

Anne and Steven, aka “Trey”, were just a treasure to work with – the enthusiasm they evoked carried over to all that were present. Both have a inner charm that is contagious.

Anne found us online via The Knot and said that the reason she booked us was because of the prestigious “The Knot Best of Weddings” award we received in ’08 and ’09. Most of our communication was with her mother due to the fact that the bride and groom didn’t live here in the greater Kansas City area. I didn’t meet Anne and Trey until the engagement session and then again the day of the wedding. Needless to say, her mother was a blast – she leaned on my professional opinion for several ideas regarding the wedding day itinerary.

Every wedding has a notable theme – Anne and Trey’s reception was centered around notable 1930, 1940, and 1950 icons. Every table and place setting had its own name. I’m not sure if this was because Anne is a natural history buff.

There are several moments to brag about but one of the best moments that I can remember was during the reception. The DJ allowed Anne to get behind the turn-tables and do a little mixing & scratching. Hilarious!!! I know not too many DJ’s will allow this sort of behavior but somehow it happened. Anne…you rocked the house!

Thank you Anne and Trey for a night I will remember forever. Thank you Courtney for helping out.

Some of the wedding details are:

Ceremony: Cathedral of Immaculate Conception
Reception: The Sawyer Room
Transportation: Pech Limousine

Father of the bride and her brother wait patiently in the preparation room at the President Hotel for Anne.

Dad getting the close is clear call from mother of the bride.

Mom pinning on the veil.
Leaving the Iowa room at the President Hotel for the church.
Inside the elevator.

It's not what you think.

Preparing to get inside the limo.

The priest who will be officiating the ceremony has a since of humor and a long time family friend.
A great shot from Tailese as the father of the bride shows off his cufflinks just before walking down the aisle.
A few of the junior groom and ring bearers arent' camera shy.
Trey is all grins as Anne walks through the door.
A great balcony shot from Courtney.

Mom and dad watch as Anne and Trey board the Bentley.
Another great shot by Tailese.

The driver was so cool...he popped the bottle of champagne for the bride and groom.

The brides attendants inside the President Hotel.

On top of the roof top at the Sawyer Room.

Mixing and scratching on the turn-tables.
